Dr. Pooja Sharma is a dedicated, empathetic, and highly skilled psychiatrist with comprehensive training and experience in managing a wide spectrum of psychiatric disorders across age groups and care settings. She brings a patient-centric, inclusive, and evidence-based approach to mental health treatment, tailored to the unique needs of each individual.

Dr. Sharma completed her MBBS from the esteemed B.J. Government Medical College, Pune, followed by an MD in Psychiatry from the Central Institute of Psychiatry (CIP), Ranchi, one of India’s most prestigious and research-oriented mental health institutions.

She further honed her clinical skills during her tenure as Senior Resident at both CIP Ranchi and University College of Medical Sciences (UCMS) & Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital, Delhi, gaining hands-on experience in the management of acute and chronic psychiatric illnesses in inpatient, outpatient, and emergency care settings.

Her areas of clinical expertise include the diagnosis and treatment of Schizophrenia, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Bipolar Affective Disorder, Depression, and Anxiety Disorders. She is also trained in managing psychiatric conditions in children and adolescents, as well as individuals with seizure disorders and neuropsychiatric conditions.

In addition to her core psychiatric training, Dr. Sharma holds specialized certifications in:

  • Motivational Interviewing
  • Mindfulness-Based Interventions
  • Neuromodulation Techniques, including non-invasive brain stimulation methods such as rTMS (Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation)

These additional skills allow her to integrate psychotherapeutic, biological, and neuromodulatory modalities to deliver comprehensive, patient-focused care.

Dr. Sharma is an LGBTQA+ affirmative therapist and provides a safe, respectful, and non-judgmental therapeutic space for individuals across diverse gender and sexual identities.
