According to WHO, mental health is a state of well-being. Mental well-being enables people to cope with the stresses of life, learn and work well, contribute to society as a civilised individual and realise their abilities. Many people use positive mental health and well-being synonymously. Both these terms refer to the same state but are entirely different. Mental health is a fundamental human right and significant for personal, community, and socio-economic development, whereas well-being enables a positive environment for positive mental health.
